Green ball hits Rackets-TENNIS

 Hey

Beautiful people as we step into the atmosphere of  my life around tennis

HOW I ENDED UP PLAYING TENNIS

Growing up with strict parents was not really great, but I learned a lot from them and there is the main reason behind my achievements and the main reason I am the lady I am today.  Just because both my sisters were academically strong and very fit for sports so I was forced to do some form of sports and be academically smart, tried swimming in grade one but gave up in a matter of two weeks and just could not handle the cold water. Grade 2 is when my parents pushed me to join tennis which I did not like at first but I ended up enjoying it and actually became very good at it. My role model in tennis is Serena Williams, she is really the only reason I pushed towards being a great tennis player.

TRAINING BEFORE TOURNAMENT

On the 29th of August 2022, I had a tennis tournament that's why I was required to leave Johannesburg a week before recess because I had to train with my teammates because I can only see them every 3 months but because of this Free State tournament that always happens before spring, I had to be Home in Free State. The training was not as bad as I thought even though I had to train every day from 8am to 6pm cause I can't attend the practices throughout the months I am in Johannesburg but it was worth it since I had the opportunity to spend time with my long lost friends who are like family. Hard work pays off at the end of the day. To top it off I had the best Coach anyone could ask for pushed me even when I wanted to give up

TOURNAMENT DAY

The day of the tournament arriving there was scary and stuff but we knew our purpose and we went there to win even though we did not win all the games it was still worth it because with the very hectic competition our squad made it into the top 10 qualifying for provincials that will be held early January 2023.I had fun and it was a stress relief after the hectic year of hard work on academics and anxiety attacks this put my mind at ease. I played all my games using the Wilson Roger Federer 23" tennis racket which is actually very comfortable to hold and the perfect racket for my height and weight.

There were over 1500 people who came to watch this tournament and it was very scary because the pressure was real. Not going to lie this was the first time I had so many people come to watch because normally I played high school matches with like 50 people watching. But what made me happy was the fact that the crowd supported whoever was playing on the courts which made a huge impact. It was very quiet though in the process of playing cause players require silence to focus. The only reason for this silence is the players need it to be silent. They try their best not to make the other player feel discouraged if the crowd is shouting at the other player's name so this is to create balance. The air falls silent as the crowd eagerly awaits the next serve.

The main teams or players were only real enemies on the court but after that, there are friends and talked because there is really no reason to hate on one another. It's just another game after all May the best of the best win and qualify for other tournaments. Tennis is a very chilled sport that does not require a lot of physical touch just a ball and rackets then we set to go.

The scoreboard was controlled by the server. The score of tennis is considered weird as it starts from love meaning zero after that is 15 then 30 then 40 then we call it one point or one game or first point or also known as Deuce. So basically four points are required to win a game. To win a match these must happen a double-bounce, errors by the opponent at the net, double faults, when the opponent hits the ball outside the court markings then you get the point.

There were quite a few players that were caught playing with very serve injuries and were disqualified as it was a risk playing like that a couple that made their way around mistakes because they bribed their way into everything but even with all the ups and downs the day was a success and nothing bad happened and no physical fights occurred

I am so glad I decided to join tennis because it gave me reasons to live. But at the end of the day, there is so much aesthetic in how we view each other, which means we do not hate each other just that we have nothing to say to one another besides challenge each other.
